Taka Alpaka
An educational company founded by a graduate of Applied Linguistics and the prestigious Teaching English to Young Learners Programme at UW. Natalia perfected her pedagogical skills as a volunteer in China and a senior teacher in London. Today speak:art, a language school co-owned by Taka Alpaka, conducts classes for about 1500 kindergarten and primary school students in Warsaw. The company provides methodological consultations to educational institutions. Based on these experiences and observations from international schools, Taka Alpaka started providing assistance to several schools and parents involved in home education. During conferences and teacher trainings devoted to modern forms of education, Natalia began cooperating with teachers involved in HS, who today are willing to participate in this project as representatives of Taka Alpaka. In discussions on today’s education system, she highlights an urgent need for better preparation of parents who decided to take over responsibility for their child's education - on the pedagogical, psychological and emotional level. This need has been confirmed through the analysis of forums for parents in Homeschooling. These parents are becoming a new pillar of the teaching staff. Although they do not receive any prior preparation, they have an important role to fulfill, turning into de facto teachers and mentors for their children.
Taka Alpaka wants to use its potential of teaching knowledge and experience and, in cooperation with a group of teachers from Warsaw (experienced in homeschooling), support parents from all over Poland, currently establishing conditions for home education for over 15,000 students. Noticing the correlation between the effective learning process of a child in HE and the appropriate development of the school-student-family relationship in HE, the company aims to support and prepare educational institutions that are currently facing this challenge and those that will face it in the near future. |
